    How Credit Cards work

    1. During the checkout process, buyers are prompted to enter their credit or cheque card details.
    2. The 3D Secure page will then appear where they will need to authenticate themselves with their bank using either a password or one-time PIN (OTP).
    3. Buyers can then make the payment, which once processed will show in your PayFast account.

    Overview

    Credit & Cheque Cards

Visa, Mastercard credit cards are the most popular and trusted online payment methods around the world.

    Mobicred

Mobicred is an online account that gives buyers access to credit, which they can use to pay you online through PayFast.

    Snapscan

SnapScan is one of South Africa’s first ‘scan to pay’ contactless payment apps that makes it easy and safe to pay and receive payments online.

    Instant EFT

Instant EFT by PayFast allows online shoppers with access to internet banking to make an Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) that gets instantly verified.

    Masterpass

Masterpass is a digital wallet from Mastercard that enables online shoppers to quickly and securely check out and make online payments.

    Debit Card

Debit cards issued by Maestro and Visa Electron are still popular among many South African shoppers, and can be used to make online purchases.

    RCS

    How Instant EFT works

    1. The buyer selects their bank and logs in using their online banking credentials.
    2. Next they choose from which account they will be making the payment.
    3. Buyers then verify the payment with their bank on their mobile device.
    4. The payment is processed and instantly reflects in your PayFast account.

    2. When the buyer chooses to pay by debit card at checkout they are prompted to enter their registered mobile phone number.
    3. Next the buyer enters their debit card details and PIN on their mobile phone.
    4. Once the payment is processed it will instantly show in your PayFast account.

    How Mobicred works

    1. When buyers first register a Mobicred account, they undergo a simple online process to determine their credit limit.
    2. Mobicred account holders with sufficient available credit can then make payment by selecting Mobicred at checkout and signing into their account.
    3. Once processed, you will immediately receive the full amount (minus PayFast’s fees), without the risk of payment reversals.
